climbing the walls

Oh MY Gosh!!!!! it's not even Christmas break and the kids are already climbing the walls.

Let it snow......

We finally got a little bit of snow, just enough for the kids to go sledding and for Dave to plow the driveway. This year he has a little buddy to help him. The next day or so Dad built the kids a snow man to welcome them home from school. Frosty looked so good he almost looked fake.

Tavin and Ty both have birthdays in December. Tavin turned 5 and Ty turned 10. Where does the time go? My babies are growing up. They are both great kids and we thank the lord every day for blessing our family with their sweet spirits. Tav is into everything especially his brothers things. He still is my little SNUGGLE PUPPY and we sing that song just about every day to each other. If I have made him upset he tells me that he won't EVER sing me that song again or he tells me that he isn't my snuggle puppy anymore. That lasts about, oh a half hour then I'll hear him in the other room singing it.
Ty is going to be the next Travis Pastrana, he loves to ride his dirt bike and is always trying to break his record for the longest jump. I'll find him and his brothers in the back yard putting more dirt on the ramp to make it bigger. Sometimes I just have to go inside and not watch.
This year he took 3 of his friends and Tris snowboarding for his birthday they had a blast.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BOYS we all love you both very much.

Tavin's school christmas program

Tavin's class sang along to the music of Alvin and The Chipmunks. I wish I had recorded it because it was hilarious and as you can see the kids thought it was pretty funny themselves. Leave it to Tavin to be the biggest clown of them all. He makes us laugh every day.

Decorating for the holidays

The stockings are hung by the chimney with care and the decorations are everywhere. The kids decorated the tree and placed all their favorite ornaments right up front. We only had to move a few in fear that the tree would fall over. Mr. Pickle was hung by Tavin this year. We will hide him on Christmas Eve, I wonder who will be the lucky one to find him this year. The house feels so cozy and warm this time of year with all the decorations out and the smell of pine through the house. School is out this Friday so we will be busy baking and wrapping presents and getting last minute shopping done.

Thanksgiving

Our good friends had us over this year. I guess they felt bad for us since we don't make a big deal of it unless we have family in town. Last year we ordered the whole meal from Boston Market. I was pretty upset when I found out that both locations had closed down. Thanks to John and Jennifer we ate way too much and had a great time. After dinner we usually go to a movie but this year we all left the kids at home and went to the Nuggets game. The best part of the whole day was waking up in the morning to find a note from my son on my pillow. Ty, I love you so much, you are such a blessing to this family. You are always helping your brothers and sister do things and you hardly ever complain. Every day I thank the Lord for blessing me with such a beautiful family, with there own special and unique spirits. I am also grateful for my best friend and husband, for all that he does for me and our family. I love you all!!!!

Field trip to the Denver Aquarium

Tris has been studying marine biology in school this quarter. They have studied all kinds of fish, what they eat and where they live. The 1st grade team ended the quarter with a field trip to The Denver Aquarium. Tris had to research and do a report about a Sheepshead, and present it to his class on the field trip. FYI a Sheepshead is a fish. Dave and I took Tavin and met him there, we all had fun.

AC/DC BLACK ICE TOUR

Well, I've waited 8 years for my favorite group to go on tour again. I saw them in St.Louis in 2000 while Dave was playing for the Cardinals. They ROCKED then and are still going strong today. They put on quite a show, Angus played non stop with an amazing solo. He may be old but he ROCKS!!!! A whole lot of ROSIE made an appearance but I've decided not to post here photo, SORRY! Dave and I had a great time, he took our boys Ty 9 and Tris 7 to Metallica last month so I guess we've had our fix of Rock-N-Roll for a while.

Halloween

Halloween has come and gone. The weather has stayed nice, thank goodness. This was the first Halloween in years that the kids didn't need a coat. We had a great time at our party this year. We invite our friends and neighbors over every year for mummy dogs, chili, cornbread and goodies. We all get a full tummy and then the guys take the kids out Trick-or-Treating. The gals stay home and sit around a fire and hand out candy. I think we have the best part. I love to get the house decorated so it is always sad to take them down. However, I will be getting ready for Christmas in about 2 weeks, so I'm not too upset.
